Welcome to Canolfan Y Fron’s brand new Manager’s Bulletin, this is a chance for me to let all of you know what’s going on at the Canolfan with all the exciting new projects we have planned. To start for those of you that don’t know me, my name is Philip Barker, I’ve been in post as the centre managersince October and I’m hopping that I can meet everyone in the community over the coming months when you come into the Shop or Cafe, if I haven’t met you all already. I will try my very best to make this wonderful place a roaring success with the help of the community and the great pool of staff already working at the Canolfan.
Christmas for us at Canolfan Y Fron was a busy one with a talk and Christmas dinner held by Snowdonia National Park for the over 65s, our first ever Canolfan Christmas Dinner which had rave reviews, the Llety was virtually full over the Christmas and New Year period and let’s not forget the great Christmas Fair we ran. We have also started engaging with the community a bit more by holding monthly open village meetings as a way of sharing new ideas, getting feedback, updates on the Canolfan and a chance for the community to express any concerns about things happening in the Canolfan. February’s meeting will be held towards the end of the month so keep your eyes peeled on social media for that.
Coming to the Canolfan on the 3rd of February is a brand-new Parent and Child Stay and Play session followed by a Baby Ballet session. We also have our all new menu in place in the Café and our continuation of our popular Wednesday Lunch clubs, Friday Night Fish and Chips and Sunday Lunches. The shop is also brining in a variety of new items.
Watch this space and look out for next months bulletin for more information about the Canolfan getting the people of Dyffryn Nantlle a little bit fitter.
